Our Mission

Our mission at Nudai Education™ is to bridge the gap of educational inequality, minimize the educational achievement gap, and prepare our scholars to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Our Vision

Our Vision at Nudai Education™ is to provide students with culturally relevant pedagogy that assists our scholars with making the necessary connections between the curriculum and their culture to make meaning of the information they are learning and increase lifelong benefits.

Our Philosophy

Every young scholar deserves to have an educational experience that will assist the scholar in reaching his/her fullest potential. At Nudai Education™ we believe in providing our scholars with culturally relevant pedagogy, presented through an Afro-centric curriculum that teaches our scholars about their rich history and culture, while building cultural pride and self-esteem. Scholars learn by making connections. Connections last for a lifetime.

Our History

Nudai Education™ was founded by Shalimar Ali El in January of 2014 as a tutoring company. Shalimar K. Ali El,  the  founder and Executive Director of Nudai Education™ Ms. Ali El has a Bachelors of Administration in English Literature, a Masters of Administration in Executive Business Administration, and is currently working on her Doctoral Degree in Education with an emphasis in K-12 Leadership. Ms. Ali El is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha® Sorority Inc. Over  the last twenty-three years Ms. Ali El has served in many capacities such as, but not limited  to,  President  of  the PTO  at  Dwight  McDaniel’s  S.O.C.E.,  Visual  and  Performing Arts Director for Central Catholic St. Nicholas and Dwight McDaniel’s S.O.C.E., and dance and step coordinator  for Glory to Glory Christian Church.  During the 2013-14 school year, Ms. Ali El  served as an intensive Algebra tutor for a Fellowship that serves underprivileged  urban  students  in  St.  Louis  Public  schools.

Over the last twenty-three years working in the school system, Ms. Ali El noticed the academic achievement gap between students of African American descent and those of European descent has continued to increase. As a result, Ms. Ali El began asking the question, "Why is there an academic achievement gap?" Through research, Ms. Ali El's  discovered students of African American descent were having problems connecting with the curriculum because it was subjective to them which prevented them from making the connections with the curriculum so they could learn the material being taught. From there Ms. Ali El asked the question, "What is being done about the problem?" Ms. Ali El learned there are some educational pioneers who have taken it upon themselves to implement an African based/Afrocentric curriculum in the urban schools where the students of African American descent are the majority.  The result of these efforts have yielded great academic success for students of African American descent; by presenting these student's with a curriculum that is objective the students were able to make the connections with the curriculum which increased their ability to learn the material being taught.

With the knowledge that Ms. Ali El gained from her research, she decided to assist the urban youth in her area by presenting them with an African based/Afrocentric curriculum so they to can have an equal chance to succeed. In doing so she created a uniquely designed approach called The C.P.R. Perspective™: 3 Steps to Resuscitating Academic Achievers through culturally‐relevant pedagogy,  expressed  through  technology  and  visual  and  performing  arts. Ms. Ali El's implementation of The C.P.R. Perspective™  has assisted her students in making great academic strides. The C.P.R.Perspective™ is a three step approach that consists of the following:

1.) C*****: How is the subject matter relevant to my culture.

2.) P*****: Now that I have made a connection with the subject matter understanding is produced.

3.) R*****: Now  that  I understand  the subject matter  I can relate it  to my personal life  experiences, both in                                    the classroom and outside of the classroom.

In June of 2014, Ms. Ali El opened the doors to begin an Nudai Education™ school. The school embraces the C.P.R. Perspective™ and provides urban youth with an opportunity to reconnect with their history and culture. At Nudai Education™ we take a wholistic approach to education to ensure that our scholars discover the GREATNESS that resides within them and cultivate that GREATNESS in order to assist our scholars with reaching their fullest potential.
